Day 16 - My YES List

While in a relaxed state ask the following two questions and write as many answers that come to mind in your journal:-

1. What needs my attention at this time in my life?

2. What do I need to let go of?

Once you have finished select the top five and put them in order of priority. Next, copy them onto cards 3 x 5 and label them 'My YES List'. Place these cards around your house, work space or simply carry them around with you to remind you what really matters to you.

This will be added to and, I suspect, modified over the next week

1. What needs my attention at this time in my life?

the immediate future | long term aims | the way forward | organising home | where i want to live | what i am going to do with my life | sorting out finances | life after Connect | health | losing weight | doing something about those bloody eye bags | finding fulfillment | how to live the life I want to live

2. What do I need to let go of?

the ghost of past failures | certain material considerations | things for which i have no use | timidity/over caution | the sense of being undeserving | the feeling of not being needed

ghost of past failures

what i am going to do with my life

where i want to live

life after Connect

how to live the life I want to live

Day 16 - My YES List
1 How did you feel? Happy because, on one level, i know something is actually changing because a number of the things I've written down I am actually addressing now. They've sat on the back burner for yonks but the time seems right to deal with them.
2 In what way did you find the challenge useful?
Remember even if the challenge was negative this is an excellent learning for yourself.
I think I've cheated in a way because I have been thinking about this lot for a while now. However, writing them down is a bit like looking at the scales on a weighing machine when you've lost weight, I'm thinking 'at last I'm doing something about this'.
3 What insight did you gain? Beginning the process is a whole lot better than doing nothing.
4 What did you learn about yourself? When I get into a particular mind set I can be determined in my ability to see a process through to its conclusion.
