Chanson de la Semaine

To avoid repeating myself on a weekly basis and lose the interest of our regular fan, I will point you towards Week 68 in the Archive for an explanation of why I am suddenly featuring a piece of music each week. Incidentally, the Archive Pics with a little audio icon on them are the ones which will have this little feature..beginning, of course, with Week 68.

Still digging around the archives and found this from 1981..phew. I still have a soft spot for this particular track, as I remember I think it was the only one the engineer allowed us to mix ourselves...the rest sounded pretty odd to say the least. It's called 'Horses On The Motorway'. We went in for long titles in 1981.

You've probably already seen a blue or yellow band at the top of the page asking if you want to run this program and showing a 'Run Active X' tab. Click on that and then click on 'Run' and a little CD player should open below the song title. Press Play, Stop or Whatever.

'Horses On The Motorway'

Week 144
The Ever Growing Wall and Ancient Bread Oven

We decided to continue with the wood store wall and restore what remained of the old bread oven, partly because it was a job that needed doing, and we were in that zone, but also because it was starting to look a bit dangerous. Traditonal walls are made of stone and hard packed clay, which is a really strong combination until the clay gets wet and then it's like a landslide. Because we'd demolished the covering and some of the wall of the bread oven, we'd exposed the clay to the elements and so after two and half years, it seemed like a good idea to sort it out. Anyway the first piccies are from the initial demolition of the bread oven.

Cats and Kittens

Well, we've got to include a few snaps haven't we?
